Zac Brown Band will launch its upcoming "The Great American Road Trip Tour" next month, and the tour will feature the band's new, eighth member Matt Mangano on bass. Mangano's official addition may be news to everyone, but fans of the group might recognize the bass player from on-stage guest performances over the years and from his studio work on The Grohl Sessions Vol. 1 and Uncaged. Of the band's newest addition, Zac Brown said, "We're always growing as musicians and challenging ourselves to bring new things to our fans. Hop is an amazing talent and I can't wait for people to see what we've got coming for the live show." "The Great American Road Trip Tour" will kick off in Lincoln, Nebraska on May 24 and will run through August. Kacey Musgraves is also set to join ZBB for four shows in Florida in late May and early June. The tour announcement comes on the heels of ZBB selling out a two-night stand at Boston's Fenway Park without any supporting acts – a feat that only four other bands have accomplished. Last year, Kenny Chesney announced that he would be taking a break from the road in 2014 to focus on making his next record. Now, Chesney has given his fans an update on the progress on that new album. Kenny tweeted yesterday, "In studio working on new album. Can't wait for everyone to hear the new music." The message was accompanied by a photo that showed the singer sitting in a chair in front of a studio sound board.
Kenny also took to Twitter yesterday to post a message for the victims of the Boston Marathon bombing on the one year anniversary of the tragedy. Chesney tweeted, "Hard to believe it's been a year. Don't forget the #Boston Marathon bombing victims. #SpreadTheLove to help here:" The tweet provided a link to Kenny's Spread The Love Fund, which helps to provide prosthetics as well as the ongoing care and physical therapy the bombing victims need.
The video for Blake Shelton's most recent chart-topper "Doin' What She Likes," shows him doing the cooking and cleaning for his wife Miranda Lambert, but Blake says that only part of that video is true. Shelton tells People, "I think if you asked Miranda, she'd tell you I cook – I love to cook. I don't like to clean the house so that part of the video is a little bit far-fetched." And what does Blake cook when he puts that apron on? Shelton says, "I'm good at anything that's country – biscuits, gravy, chicken-fried steak. Look at me, for God's sake. I cook what I like to eat." At the end of the video, Blake talks to his wife on the phone as the house burns down in the background, and he reveals that setting things on fire is also something from the video that is accurate. Shelton shares, "I've burned the trash a few times and it got away from me. I've caught the yard on fire. I've burnt up some acreage and had to call the fire department a couple of times."

Kip Moore is releasing "Dirt Road" as the next single from his upcoming sophomore album. Kip penned the tune with longtime co-writer Dan Couch as well as Westin Davis, and he used the crowd's reactions to the song as a way to help him determine if it would make the album or not. Moore shares, "The groove of this song is something that really grabbed me. I actually worked it up with the band on the road and we played it live that same night. We did that with a lot of the new songs and in a way the live crowds helped shape this album because of that." The song follows the record's lead single "Young Love," which he also penned with Couch and Davis.

Jake Owen is currently on the road bringing the beach life to people all across the country on his "Days of Gold Tour," and now he's teaming up with Discover Boating as the tour's sponsor to make the trek even more water-friendly. During the trek, Jake will share personal stories of his connection with boating and how it creates fun in his life and music. These vignettes will be featured throughout the tour, and as part of Discover Boating’s new 2014 "Stories of Discovery" series, which will share real boaters' inspiring stories of their life on the water through documentary-style videos. Owen says, "Growing up on the water, boating has always been a part of my life. I can't think of anything better than floating down the water, drinking a cold beverage and hanging with your friends. On this tour, I wanted everyone to feel that by the river vibe and having Discover Boating as part of the action every night is amazing!"

Next month on May 9 and 10, Hunter Hayes is embarking on playing music for 24 hours straight to break a Guinness Book of World Record that is currently held by rock band the Flaming Lips, who played eight shows in 24 hours. Hayes will be playing 10 shows in that time period in the Northeast. Hunter is playing the shows and teaming up with ConAgra Foods and they’re all trying to combat child hunger.

Nancy Jones, the wife of the late George Jones, is planning a memorial for him on the one year anniversary of his death. Friends and fans of the late singer are welcome to celebrate his life and legacy at Woodlawn Cemetery in Nashville on April 26. During the memorial, Nancy will plant two dogwood trees at the "He Stopped Loving Her Today" monument. Nancy said in a statement, "I know how much people loved George, and the love has continued even a year later. I am so fortunate for the friends and fans that George and I made through the years. I want everyone to come celebrate with us, not because he is no longer with us, but to keep his legacy alive."
Taylor Swift was in New York City on Saturday where she made a hilarious cameo appearance on NBC's Saturday Night Live. Taylor's brief appearance on the sketch comedy show came while the show's host, Seth Rogen, was doing his opening monologue. During the monologue, Rogen was reading through the journal he made to keep track of the week leading up to the show. Seth kept saying that he didn't need any help or cameo appearances from any other stars. Soon, Zooey Deschanel and James Franco came out on stage and Rogen said, "No, I don't want any help. I told you guys, I'm fine." Then, Swift's voice can be heard off camera saying, "He said he doesn't want any help." Taylor then walked out on stage and the crowd erupted in applause. Seth then asked Swift what she was doing there and she said, "You're getting really upset. And whenever a man shows emotion, I appear." Taylor also announced that her friend and former tour mate Ed Sheeran was there as the musical guest that night.

After she made a surprise cameo appearance on Saturday Night Live, Taylor Swift headed to Columbus, Ohio on Sunday to crash a fan's bridal shower. The fan's name is Gena Gabrielle, and she had actually met Swift in 2007 at a meet and greet, according to NBC's Today. The bride-to-be took to her Instagram to share several photos of the two of them hanging out together at the shower. But Swift didn't show up at the party empty-handed; she actually came bearing gifts. Gabrielle then posted a picture on Twitter of the new house warming gifts from Taylor. The photo shows several supplies for the couple's kitchen, including utensils, a cooking pot, a KitchenAid stand mixer and even a Barefoot Contessa cookbook by Ina Garten. Gena tweeted, "@taylorswift13 thank you so much for everything. You went above & bring my wildest dreams. I can't thank you enough." Gena told Today, "I had no idea it was going to happen. [Taylor] said she planned it with her management and her mom. She said it was all worth it because my face was priceless."
After hitting the road during the coldest months of the year on his "Beat This Winter Tour," Brad Paisley is now warming things up with his brand new single "River Bank." The song is a summertime jam about having fun on the river, and Paisley hopes the new single will help everyone thaw out after the brutal winter we had. Paisley tells The Tennessean of the new song, "There's a mindset that I am completely ready for after this winter." "River Bank" is also a song that reminds Brad of his childhood experiences out on the water. Paisley shares, "I've called myself, for years, a river rat. My best memories with my grandfather are on that body of water, and my dad and learning to ski." The song is the lead single from Paisley's forthcoming record, of which he says a "working title" may be "Thoughts From a Bumpkin."

Other confirmed performers at the show include Imagine Dragons, John Legend, OneRepublic and Jason Derulo. Bryan has earned nominations in six categories at the show, including nods for Top Male Artist, Top Billboard 200 Artist and Top Billboard 200 Album for his 2013 release Crash My Party. Luke is also one of the finalists for the second annual Milestone Award, which is presented to an innovative artist who has achieved a notable chart milestone over the past year. The 2014 Billboard Music Awards will air live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on May 18 at 8 PM ET on ABC.

The Guest Panel will assist in the selection process of one Honorary Bat Girl for each of the 30 MLB teams. The winners will be recognized by their respective Club on Mother's Day (May 11) or during another game later in May.
The Armed Forces Foundation has jointly named Justin Moore and Big Machine Label Group President/CEO Scott Borchetta the "Congressman Bill and Beverly Young Humanitarian of the Year." The award recognizes their service and commitment to the morale and welfare of military families through the Crown Royal "Your Hero's Name Here" contest and other endeavors. The two were honored on Wednesday night during the 10th annual Congressional Gala in Washington, D.C. Moore said, "Although extremely grateful, I feel a little uncomfortable being honored at an event where there are decorated war heroes present. I feel that my contributions are much less significant than theirs … they are the true American heroes."

Record labels will often take the reins when it comes time to pick an artist's next single, but that wasn't the case with Dustin Lynch's brand new single "Where It's At." The song is the first release from Dustin's forthcoming sophomore record with Broken Bow Records, and he reveals that his label actually let him choose which song to put out this time. Lynch told CMT, "My record label gave me a chance to pick one, so that was a big deal -- a huge weight on my shoulders. I prayed about it a lot and took my time and did my research." Dustin is grateful to have a record label that trusts him as an artist and allows him the freedom to create his own music. Lynch shares, "That's what you dream of happening, when you move to Nashville. You dream of making music you want to make and putting out songs that you want to put out -- 'Where It's At' is definitely that."
Josh Turner is no stranger to signing autographs for fans, but now he'll be signing his name in copies of his first book, Man Stuff: Thoughts on Faith, Family and Fatherhood. Turner's first book signing will take place just outside of Nashville in Franklin, Tennessee at the Lifeway Christian Store on April 22. The book signing is free and open to the public and begins at 6:15 PM local time. In the book, Josh shares stories that he's learned over the years as a son, brother, friend, husband and father. Jase Robertson of A&E's hit reality series Duck Dynasty provides the foreword for the new book, which is set to be released nationwide on April 29. Last year, Turner teamed up with Jase's wife, Missy, for a duet on the family's holiday album, Duck the Halls: A Robertson Family Christmas.
Lee Ann Womack has signed a recording contract with Sugar Hill Records and plans to release a new album on the label later this year. The album is slated for a release in September, with its lead single coming this summer. Lee Ann announced the news just last week, saying the label seemed like a perfect fit. Womack said, "When I was looking for the right home for this record. I knew I wanted a label where passion for music and artistic integrity drive the decision-making, the people who bring the music to the fans." Lee Ann's forthcoming record is her first new music in nearly six years, following her 2008 release Call Me Crazy.

Dan + Shay's debut album, Where It All Began, has debuted at number one on Billboard's Country Albums Chart, with 29,000 copies sold in its first week out. This marks the first time in SoundScan reported history that a duo has debuted at the top spot on the chart with their first album. The album is also the highest charting debut among all artists this year. The lead single from the album, "19 You + Me," currently sits in the Top 15 on the chart and has already sold nearly 500,000 tracks.

Taylor Swift recently joined Olympic figure skater Gracie Gold in the kitchen whip up something special. Swift took to Instagram to share the adorable black-and-white pictures of them hanging out together. In the caption for the photos, Taylor said, "First we baked a bunch of cookies and then we made faces. @graciegold95." But Gracie isn't the first famous person Swift has teamed up with to make a culinary creation. Last month, Taylor joined Food Network star Ina Garten in the kitchen, and she also teamed up with Kelly Osbourne last October to bake a batch of chocolate peppermint cookies.
It seems like everyone wants to know when Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton will have a baby. Miranda, too, finds herself thinking about a baby from time to time, and when that happens, she has a good way of getting it off her mind. Entertainment Tonight's Nancy O'Dell recently caught up with Lambert on the ACM red carpet and asked her when the couple is going to have a baby. Miranda said in response, "We have a lot of four-legged babies. Every time I think I might be thinking about it, I get a puppy and I'm like, 'Nope, not ready.'" Miranda wants to have a child someday, but she says raising a little one right now just doesn't make sense. Lambert shares, "We're so busy. It's this whole whirlwind right now, flying all over the place, and we'd like to be a little more settled."
It's been an incredible ride for Florida Georgia Line over the last year, and the duo's Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley hope this trip doesn't end any time soon. Tyler tells that they hope to "just keep riding the wave and hold on tight. Buckle up. That's kind of been our thing this last year." Moving forward, the duo is currently working on the follow up to their hugely successful Here's to the Good Times album, and Kelley says the new project is coming along nicely. Brian shares, "We're in the studio working hard. We've already got five to six songs tracked and rockin'. Joey Moi, our producer, is chompin' at the bit. He's as excited as we are." And with the success of their debut album behind them, the duo isn't feeling any added stress while they're making this next record. Kelley says, "This time around, no pressure we're going to go in and put the best songs we can on there and let the fans and country radio do the work."
Trisha Yearwood's home in Brentwood, Tennessee is up for sale and is listed at $2.2 million, according to The Tennessean. The Brentwood home is located just south of Nashville and sits on four acres of land. The home boasts more than 6,000 square feet of space, with 5 bedrooms, 6 baths, and a swimming pool. Yearwood made the decision to sell the home because her husband Garth Brooks owns property just north of Nashville and "it doesn't make sense to have all of it." Trisha says of selling her home, "It is a little bittersweet for me. I haven't lived in it consistently (for a while) but when I've been in Nashville, which is a good bit, that's where I always stay. It's been a wonderful safe haven for me." Last month, Yearwood announced that she and Brooks would be moving to Nashville to spend more time in the city.
Kellie Pickler always finds time for her husband Kyle Jacobs amid her very busy schedule, which is something that her new single "Closer to Nowhere" actually touches on. Pickler tells CMT of the song, "It's all about getting away from the craziness and the hustle and bustle of the world and just being with your significant other. We all need to make time for that. You don't want to be married to a stranger. I know I don't." The two may feel like strangers when he can't join her out on the road, but that touring life never gets in the way of their relationship. Pickler shares, "There are moments when we miss each other. Then when we see each other, we are so excited to be together. We always make time for us. We are our number one priority. Work always comes second."

Kacey Musgraves is the only country artist set to play at this year's Outside Lands Festival in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park. The three-day festival will take place on August 8–10 and will feature other top name acts such as Kanye West, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, The Killers, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Arctic Monkeys and much more. But this isn't the first time Kacey has played a popular festival as one of the only country acts on the bill. Last year, she played the Bonnaroo Music Festival in Manchester, Tennessee, which she said was a dream come true. Musgraves will also join pop star Katy Perry on select dates of her "Prismatic World Tour" later this year. Tickets for Outside Lands Festival go on sale today.
Just last week, Lucy Hale revealed the cover art and track listing for her debut studio album Road Between. Now, it has been announced that Lucy will release a deluxe version of the album that will feature sixteen total tracks including three bonus songs and two live acoustic tracks. Road Between will be released on June 3 and features Lucy's debut lead single "You Sound Good To Me." Adding to the excitement, Hale has just been invited to make her rescheduled debut on the Grand Ole Opry on June 21. In February, Lucy was forced to cancel her planned debut appearance on the Grand Ole Opry due to illness. The deluxe version of Road Between is now available for pre-order at iTunes and Amazon.

Lee Brice's song "I Don't Dance" was chosen by wedding site as one of the top wedding songs of the year and was the only country song on the list. The song was also selected by for the Dream Wedding it threw for Boston Marathon bomb survivors Rebekah Gregory and Pete DiMartino on April 4 at the Biltmore Estate in Ashville, North Carolina. Brice originally wrote the song as a wedding gift to his wife Sara for their first dance when they got married in April of last year.
